A decade of ET, AI, and seedstock herd management — now full-time as an independent contractor under Free Bird Genetics.
Background
I graduated from Florida State University in 2014 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a biomedical emphasis. That systems-thinking background — variables, protocols, and measurable outcomes — directly improves reproductive management in cattle.
Starting in 2016 I spent ten years as herd manager and embryologist at a registered Angus seedstock operation. I handled donor setup and synchronization, full herd reproduction, EPD selection, registration, tagging, and working with sales managers on online auctions. Over that same decade I built up ET and AI experience on the side — first on our own herd, then on other producers’ cattle as word got around.
In 2025 I decided to go out on my own and launched Free Bird Genetics. I now work full-time as an independent ET and AI contractor for purebred Black Angus and Red Angus programs, purebred Brahman operations, show cow herds, and club calf producers across Florida and the Southeast.
Most of my work is transferring high-quality frozen embryos into recipients, plus conventional AI, pregnancy diagnosis, and fetal sexing by ultrasound. I do not flush donors — that work is handled upstream by IVF labs and veterinary partners.

The Name
Free Bird Ventures was seeded by the sale of a bull named Free Bird, co-bred by me and my father.
The name is not a marketing exercise. It is a direct line back to where this business came from -- cattle, family, and a sale that made the contracting business financially possible. Free Bird Genetics carries that forward.
